If so, then this could be the role for you.

iQ Student Accommodation is seeking a Head of Procurement to join in a newly created position in the organisation. Reporting to the COO you'll be responsible for shaping, implementing and managing iQ's procurement strategy. You'll work collaboratively with leaders across our business to ensure that value for money is achieved in everything we purchase and you'll understand that ‘value' means more than just cost saving. You'll also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation in relation to procurement (anti-bribery and corruption for example).

 

Outcomes

  • Shape, implement and manage iQ's procurement strategy
  • Responsible for negotiating contract values worth millions of pounds
  • Work with our leadership team to secure value in all purchases and service contracts
  • Run effective tender processes
  • Ensure compliance with legislation throughout our supply chain
  • Management of Procurement Manager
  • Regular reporting to Executive Team of procurement initiatives
  • Budgetary responsibility for department

 

You'll need to be an experienced procurement professional to succeed in this role, with a clear idea of how a procurement function should operate and a vision for what you'd implement. You'll have experience in negotiating contracts for services as well as materials and appreciate the nuances of the categories. You must have dealt with highly complex contracts with values of over £1 million. Excellent relationship management and communication skills are essential as you'll be negotiating with third parties and will need to collaborate with our leaders and present reports to our Executive team. A good appreciation for the Purchase to Pay relationship is also required.
